Privacy Policy

At TendMe, we believe your personal data belongs to you. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our wellness companion app.
Information We Collect
TendMe collects the following types of information:
- Health Data: With your permission, we read steps, sleep and water from Apple HealthKit, and save the water you log in TendMe back to HealthKit. This sets your companion's mood.
- Account Information: Signing in is optional. If you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple user identifier and, if you choose to share them, your name and email (which may be an Apple private relay address).
- Usage Data: App usage events, such as screens viewed and onboarding steps, through Firebase Analytics. These events never include health data.
- Advertising Attribution: Only if you allow tracking in iOS, the TikTok SDK receives install, paywall and purchase events and your device's advertising identifier so we can measure our ads. No health data is included.
How We Use Your Information
- Personalize your companion's mood and behavior based on your wellness patterns
- Generate AI-powered weekly reports and insights (Premium feature)
- Send daily water and walk reminders, if you allow notifications
- Improve app performance and fix bugs
- Provide customer support when you contact us
Data Storage & Security
Your health data stays on your device unless you sign in. If you sign in with Apple, we back up one daily summary (steps, water, sleep and your companion's mood) to your TendMe account, hosted by Supabase; it is linked to your account and deleted with it. Premium AI weekly reports send your weekly averages (steps, sleep, water) and your companion's name and type to Google Gemini, only after you agree in the app.
For account-related data, we use Supabase, a secure cloud platform with industry-standard encryption. All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
Third-Party Services
TendMe uses the following third-party services:
- Apple HealthKit: To read your health and fitness data (with your permission)
- Google Gemini AI: To write Premium weekly reports from your weekly averages, after you agree in the app
- Supabase: For Sign in with Apple accounts and the daily summary backup
- Sign in with Apple: Optional sign-in
- Firebase Analytics (Google): App usage events, without health data
- TikTok Events SDK: Ad attribution, only if you allow tracking, without health data
Each service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.
Data Sharing
We will never sell your personal information to third parties.
Health data from Apple HealthKit is never used for advertising or marketing, and is never shared with advertising or analytics services.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Delete your account and its cloud data at any time in the app (Settings > Delete Account). For Sign in with Apple accounts this also disconnects TendMe from your Apple ID.
- Withdraw consent for data processing
- Export your data in a portable format

Children's Privacy
TendMe is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use of TendMe after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
